This drug was invented in 1964 in Bulgaria by Sopharma, sold under the name Tabex. ACHV have a deal with Sopharma to license in the US, and Sopharma even invested in ACHV, which is a bullish sign.
It's unclear to me though - why do we expect a buyout if the NDA may get done 1h 2025 (or later) - it'll take until at least 2026 for that NDA to get a conclusion, right? And it feels a bit naive to believe it'll get approved on the first go. There is probably massive lobbying by big tobacco and even big pharma, as it eats into tobacco profits and is 10x cheaper than the big pharma alternative
